Last days on Sylt

June 23rd, 2009 |

Yesterday night I came back from Sylt, it was a pretty hectic journey. In the beginning the trip went pretty fast, but because of a lot of road-activities we got some delay. After the road-activities our right front tire exploded, so we needed to change that on the motorway. On the road again we got in a big traffic jam, because of a huge car accident, and needed to wait three hours. After all I had great week and hopefully next time a better result, than 17th at the Freestyle.

Thanks to Ydwer.com for all the pictures.

Update KPWT Sylt

June 19th, 2009 |

After a day without wind, the wind and the chop are back so the competition can go on!

Day 3:
Today the doubles started and I won the first heat, but lost my second from the French rider Tiger. Jerrie v.d. Kop was having a good day and climbed up to a 6th place, good job dude!

Mario Rodwald & Gisella Pulido are the Freestyle winners.

Day 4:
The wave master can go on the water today and show there skills in the choppy waves of Sylt. I’m going to ride a little bit more south of the event on a cleaner spot with some other riders.

First days of KPWT Sylt

June 17th, 2009 |

Together with Ydwer I drove to Sylt, Germany to compete in the first KPWT stop of the year. After a 10 hour drive we arrived at the beach, with already some stands and event tents.

Day 1:
I passed the qualifiers and could enter the Main Event. The drawing decided that I’m up against Antoine Auriol and unfortunately I lost… I still had a pretty OK heat and landed my Blind Judge, Back to Blind, Slim Chance, Kiteloop Handle Pass, Kiteloop Slim Chance and a big board off. Winners of the singles are Mario Rodwald and Gisella Pulido.

Day 2:
No wind today, but enough for course racing, time to relax and eat some Bratwurst!

Here are some pictures from the trip, thanks to Ydwer.com.
