Day 3
Unfortunately I lost in my heat against Cesar Portas. I’m happy with my heat, I did my passes so I just need to train harder to beat him next time! The singles are over for me and there will be no more Doubles today, so there is some time to free ride.
I received from the Famous Frank, Underground distributor, my FreeWave 5’8″. The waves are not that big here in SPO, but big enough to have some fun. I went out strapless and my 7m Waroo, was pretty cool.

Day 4
It is time for the doubles! My component in my first heat of the doubles is Johnno Scholten also a dutch guy. I advance to the next round and my next guy is Jan Schiegnitz from Germany. We both had a really good heat, but he beat me with a couple switch tricks. I had some good heats during this event, so I’m not disappointed with my 17th place. It stimulates to train even harder for the next event!

Day 5
No more competition for me today, so it is time to freeride in SPO! We heard about a lagoon close to SPO, so we drove around to find the place. The locals didn’t tell us that the lagoon only works with high tide, so when we arrived at the spot there was only mod :S

Day 6
Again some course racing today, no second discipline. It is still early and it is high tide and wind! Off we go in the car to the lagoon. The lagoon is pretty big with a lot of space and flat water :) Down here you see a screen shot from google earth of the lagoon.

Day 7
We decide to go home after a week of a lot of kiting and fun. Around 12 o’clock we leave SPO, after a drive of 6 hours include a stop at the Golden M we arrive at my home. Steve is not home yet :p he still needs to drive 3 hours to Belgium!
The PKRA World Cup in St. Peters-Ording was again a good and nice event with a Dutch Champ! Kevin congrats with your first place!
