Yeah! First place at the Xpression Session and Pro Contest!

Kiteboard Open 2009 was a great event with great conditions and 15.000 spectators. During the first day of the event we got some side off shore wind, a bit to gusty for the planned competitions. So the organisation decided to run a Xpression Session, all the riders could go on the water to impress the spectators and judges. The riders where showing off all there moves, big air, old school and some technical freestyle stuff.

Also this year the KBO Party Sunday night was awesome! Great DJ’s and everybody was rocking it!

The last day of the KBO 2009 started with a lot of sun and no wind at all. After a short competition clinic with Christian Brouwer and me it was time for the Rookies to show there skills. It is great to see that there are every year more young riders and they also get better every year! After the young guys the ladies went on the water for a downwind team race.

Around five o’clock the Pro Contest started and all the riders went big. High passes, technical stuff, old school, it was nice to see that all the guys where pushing it. In the final I was up against Stefan Permien (Germany) and I won…Yeaahh!!!
