BMC / Easy Beach Start
Posted on 07.07.09 / This post has no commentsPut your kite at one o’clock and look around if you have enough space to ride away. Throw your board with your right/back hand in the water, move your kite slowly towards twelve o’clock with your left/front hand.
Grab with your right/back hand your bar and put your left/front foot into the foot strap. Be careful that you don’t push your board underwater. It helps when you lift your board a bit, you can put your board in the right direction. Make sure that you put your foot in quickly after you throw the board in the water, otherwise you need to walk forward to get into the foot strap.
When you have your left/front foot in the foot strap send your kite to nine o’clock. Now step also with your right/front foot into the right foot strap to give some pressure.
Make sure that you don’t forget to edge, because you will get al lot of speed in once. A mistake that happens often is that people forget to edge, because of this you will get slack lines and it will be hard to send your kite up again.
The faster and smoother you will do this move the easier it looks. Try to steer the kite in one smooth movement from one o’clock over twelve to nine o’clock, it will give your kite gradual power.
