Shared first place KTE Noordwijk / KBO

The KTE (Kitesurf Tour Europe) Noordwijk was my first KTE event of the year. This year it was combined with the KBO (Kiteboard Open), the biggest kitesurf event in The Netherlands.
On Saturday afternoon the freestyle single elimination started, with a minimum of wind. I launched my 12m Varial and I just had enough to do three tricks in the competition area and than run back up wind again to preform some more tricks. Cause the wind was going up and down, we had to wait a long time to run the heats and in the end we couldn’t even finish the single elimination.
The other days the wind didn’t pick up at all. Even when we had a skippers meeting on Monday 5 o’clock in morning, because Windfinder and Windguru said there would be wind, the wind didn’t came through. I finished within the last eight, a shared first place with seven other riders.
